Dear readers,
Summer is just around the corner and the thunderstorms have been no joke! Enjoy your EDCTs and FAA ground stops. I predict we will see a lot more of them this summer. I say this every year, but I decidedly prefer the summer weather over winter weather. My pool is open and the sun is shining! (Although you will find me hiding under an umbrella because I don’t tan, I burn.)
We’ve been hearing whispers of major airline hiring starting to pick back up with American Airlines plucking from their regionals and potentially another going back to full-scale hiring in 2026. If you are looking to move from your current airline, polish your résumé and start prepping for that interview! (Excellent help can be found at our partner organization, Aero Crew Solutions.)
Moonlight, our newest column appears again this month with the story of the birth of a new FBO in Ellensburg, Washington. We remain excited about this column and are in search of contributors. If you have a side-hustle you would like promoted in Aero Crew News, you can submit copy, or we can assign an author to get your story of entrepreneurism or beyond-the-flight-deck enterprise in front of others. What enterprise can’t benefit from some free exposure? Contact us at [email protected].
