Tallinn/Vilnius. The Latvian airline airBaltic is expanding its connectivity to Albania by launching direct flights to Tirana from Tallinn (Estonia) and Vilnius (Lithuania). With this addition, all three Baltic capitals – Riga (Latvia), Tallinn, and Vilnius – are now directly connected to the Albanian capital, providing its customers with more convenient travel options.

Mantas Vrubliauskas, VP Network Management at airBaltic: “Since the launch of direct flights from our home base in Riga to Tirana last year, demand for travel between the Baltics and Albania has grown significantly, making it one of our most popular summer destinations. As a result, we have decided to expand our presence in the Albanian market by introducing new direct service from both Tallinn and Vilnius as well. These new routes offer excellent leisure opportunities for travelers from the Baltics, support inbound tourism from Albania to our region, and enhance connectivity to the Baltic States and beyond, across our network of more than 70 destinations.”

The inaugural flight from Tallinn to Tirana departed yesterday, on June 2, 2025. The route will be operated twice a week until September 30, 2025. Meanwhile, the first flight from Vilnius to Tirana took off just after midnight today, on June 3, 2025, and will also operate twice weekly through September 30, 2025.

These new routes mark airBaltic’s second and third connections to Albania, complementing the direct service launched last year between the airline’s home base in Riga and Tirana, which also operates twice a week.

During the summer season (from late March to late October), airBaltic will operate 22 direct routes from the Estonian capital, Tallinn, to various destinations across Europe and beyond. From the Lithuanian capital, Vilnius, the airline will serve 16 direct routes, while also continuing to operate direct flights from Palanga (Lithuania) to Amsterdam (Netherlands) and Riga.

airBaltic operates nearly 130 routes from Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius, Tampere, and, seasonally, Gran Canaria, offering connections to a wide range of destinations in the airline's route network in Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and the Caucasus region. A complete schedule of airBaltic flights and tickets are available on the company's homepage at www.airbaltic.com.
