Southwest pilots, for the first time in their union's history, have voted to authorize a strike. Voting closed early today after 98% of eligible pilots had already voted in favor of a strike, 2 weeks before the vote was scheduled to close. Southwest pilots have been locked stalemate with company negotiators.
