CommutAir, operating as United Express, is proud to have launched jet service from Newark Liberty International Airport with 17 peak day departures. The inaugural flight took place on January 4. CommutAir will be opening a crew base in Newark, NJ, in February 2017.
Rene DeLange, Director of Airport Operations states, “This is an exciting time for our employees to start daily service with the growing fleet of Embraer 145 aircraft, which compliments our already existing 34 peak day departures on the Bombardier Q200/Q300 aircraft.”
Enjoying unprecedented growth, CommutAir is expected to fly up to 100 ERJ-145 aircrafts by 2020.
