Breeze Adding Two More New Nonstops from Islip to Raleigh-Durham and Portland

With Fares from $49*, Breeze Now Has 4 New Nonstop Destinations Starting from MacArthur

Breeze Airways, the newest, nicest domestic low-fare airline, announced today that it will be adding two new nonstop flights from Islip’s Long Island MacArthur Airport, to Raleigh-Durham, NC, and Portland, ME. The summer seasonal route to Portland will begin on June 28, with fares starting from $49* one way, while year-round  Raleigh-Durham service will begin on June 29, with fares starting from $59*.   

In addition to previously announced new service to Pittsburgh, PA, and Richmond, VA, Breeze will inaugurate four new routes from Islip in May and June: 

  • Richmond, VA (Summer seasonal, Thurs and Sun, starting May 18); 
  • Pittsburgh, PA (Summer seasonal, Thurs and Sun, starting May 25); 
  • Portland, ME (Summer seasonal, Wed and Sat, starting June 28, Nice from $49* one way; Nicer from $89); and 
  • Raleigh-Durham, NC (Thurs and Sun, starting June 29, Nice from $59* one way; Nicer from $99). 

Breeze also serves Charleston, SC, and Norfolk, VA, nonstop from MacArthur, as well as one-stop/no plane change BreezeThru service to New Orleans, LA, and Jacksonville, FL.

“Portland is our newest Breeze city, starting next month,” said David Neeleman, Founder and CEO of Breeze Airways. “These two new routes from Islip will give Long Islanders fast, affordable and convenient options to get to both Maine and North Carolina.  We’re thrilled to now offer six nonstop and two BreezeThru destinations from MacArthur.” 

Guests on Breeze may choose from three price bundles that are offered as ‘Nice’, ‘Nicer’, and ‘Nicest’. Guests also have an ala carte option where they can choose a ‘Nice’ or ‘Nicer’ bundle and add a First Class seat as well. Breeze has ordered 80 brand new Airbus A220-300 aircraft, with options for 40 more. 

Seat pitch for a Standard Economy seat is 30 inches on the A220s and 31 inches on the E-195s, while seat pitch for Extra Legroom is 32 inches on the A220s and between 34 and 39 inches on the E-195s, depending on the row selected. First Class seats feature 39 inches of seat pitch, 20.5 inches of seat width, and special features including a footrest for added comfort, and in-seat AC power and USB/C ports. 

Breeze doesn’t charge change or cancellation fees up to 15 minutes prior to departure and offers other benefits such as free family seating and a la carte pricing.
