NORFOLK, VA – Following more than a year and a half of negotiations for their first collective bargaining agreement, and repeated broken promises from management, Breeze pilots will conduct their first informational picket at Norfolk International Airport on Tuesday, May 7. The pilots are gathering to send a clear message to Breeze Airways management that they are unified in their pursuit of a collective bargaining agreement that will protect and improve the pilots’ quality of life and make the airline desirable for pilots and their families.

“Our airline is on track for a profitable quarter, but our pilots are experiencing unilateral pay cuts and worsening work rules without protections,” said Capt. Alexander Kluge, Breeze Airways ALPA Master Executive Council chair. “Breeze pilots have a longterm stake in their airline and want to collaborate with management to ensure its success today and in the future. Now is the time for management to stop profiting off the backs of all labor and invest in its pilots.”
Breeze pilots have been working under an outdated employee handbook for three years and have been in active negotiations for their first collective bargaining agreement with management for more than a year and half.
