One of the many reasons that pilots choose Envoy is its world-class training program, which includes state-of-the-art equipment and tools to ensure that we’re always running a safe and compliant operation. For pilots completing initial training on the Embraer 145 (E145), it’s about to get even better with the delivery and installation of three brand new Matrix Graphical Flight Simulators at Envoy Headquarters and Training Center in Irving, Texas.

In June, Envoy began conducting training using these new devices, and initial feedback from instructors and pilots in training has been positive.

“These new devices are more interactive than the Cockpit Procedures Trainers we used previously, and, more importantly, they free up valuable simulator time so that we’re maximizing training schedules for students and instructors alike,” said Robert Jones, Flight Operations Training Delivery Manager. “It’s an investment, but the payoff in scheduling efficiencies is huge.”

As new-hire pilots continue on an upward trend, with June seeing a record number of 45 new hires in a single class, the three new E145 trainers are an important investment in Envoy’s training program. It allows Envoy to bump up the number of pilots it can train and get flying.

Part of the Adding to our investment in our E145 program is the $22,100 Legacy Bonus that is awarded to new pilots who start out flying either the E145 or the Canadair CRJ-700. This lucrative bonus is paid out on the pilot’s first day of training with Envoy.

With Envoy continuing to innovate and escalate its investments, pilots aiming to fly for a regional airline are given a great choice to receive the best training available and earn industry-leading pay and make a comfortable living as well.
