The Delta Flight Museum has been selected as one of Georgia’s four mass COVID-19 vaccination sites beginning Feb. 22 – furthering Delta’s support for accelerating Georgia’s vaccination efforts and building on our long-standing commitment to protect the health of customers and employees.

Eligible recipients under the state’s vaccination guidelines will have the option to receive the vaccine via a drive-through lane or in the Delta Flight Museum.

“Vaccinations are the most important thing we can accomplish to get our lives and our economy back on track,” said Delta CEO Ed Bastian. “We’re proud to partner with Governor Kemp and his team to accelerate vaccinations and save the lives of countless Georgians. We hope this model can serve as a blueprint that can be replicated in other states.”

Located at the airline’s general offices near the airport, Delta’s mass vaccination site is well positioned to provide convenient access for communities who have been disproportionately affected by the pandemic.

“For decades, Georgia has proudly been home to the world’s best airline, which has created jobs and greater opportunity for countless hardworking Georgians,” said Georgia Governor Brian Kemp. “Now, we are building on that partnership to get more Georgians vaccinated as quickly and safely as possible – specifically those in the nearby community. I greatly appreciate Delta’s ongoing commitment to their workforce, the safety of their customers throughout the pandemic, and now the entire state as we launch one of the four state-operated mass vaccination sites at the Delta Flight Museum.”

How to register for drive-through COVID-19 vaccination: MyVaccine (myvaccinegeorgia.com)

Eligibility:

  • Registration is now open to Georgia residents and those who work in Georgia, including those who are 65 or older, healthcare workers, caregivers, residents and staff of long-term care facilities, law enforcement, firefighters, and first responders.
  • Registration will open to others as the state expands its vaccination guidelines.

In addition to hosting a mass vaccination drive-through lane run by GEMA on the Delta campus, eligible individuals can also register for limited appointments to get vaccinated inside the Delta Museum at a clinic run by Delta in partnership with a certified health provider. This option will be available later in February and registration information will be shared soon. Once the Delta Museum option is open, MARTA will be running shuttles from the College Park rail station to Delta’s campus, allowing easier access for those without cars.

“The COVID-19 vaccines now being distributed in the U.S. are a game-changer, with 95 percent efficacy in preventing symptomatic COVID-19 and 99.99 percent efficacy in preventing severe COVID-19,” said Dr. Henry Ting, who recently joined Delta as the airline’s first Chief Health Officer from his position as the enterprise Chief Value Officer of Mayo Clinic. “Timely distribution will help us stay one step ahead of new virus strains, and partnerships like this are critical enablers in making that process happen.”

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Delta has consistently taken steps to protect the health of its employees and customers.

Delta has put in place more than 100 measures to ensure a safe travel experience, including:

  • Continuing its industry-leading commitment to provide more space on board as the only U.S. airline to block middle seats and limit capacity on all flights departing through April 30, 2021
  • Using industrial-grade HEPA filters that extract more than 99.99 percent of particles, including viruses
  • Establishing a Global Cleanliness Division and a team of clean ambassadors, complementing the airline’s Delta CareStandard program
  • Partnering with CVS Health and Quest Diagnostics to test its entire workforce and allow employees to get COVID-19 rapid-response testing as often as weekly
  • Requiring masks for for employees and customers throughout the entire travel journey
  • Providing full pay protection to employees who experience symptoms, test positive or who have been exposed to others who have tested positive
  • Offering paid leave for employees at highest risk of severe illness from COVID-19
