SAN DIEGO—After more than four years of negotiating with Air Transport Services Group (ATSG), Air Transport International (ATI) pilots, represented by the Air Line Pilots Association, Int’l (ALPA), will be conducting an informational picket on Wednesday, October 16, outside the Cargo Facts Symposium, which is attended by the leaders in the cargo industry. The pilots have been working under an agreement negotiated in 2018 and lag their peers in compensation and quality of life. Negotiations continue to stall as ATSG refuses to come to the table with a market-based contract.
“ATI is the number one carrier for Amazon. Despite our pilots consistently delivering exceptional on-time performance, management won’t deliver a contract that will bring ATI pilots in line with our peers,” said ATI ALPA Master Executive Council (MEC) chair Capt. Mike Sterling. “ATI pilots have earned a contract that recognizes our contributions. Since ATSG hasn’t listened to our message at the table, we’re going to bring it to the entire cargo industry.”
