The United Master Executive Council (MEC) of the Air Line Pilots Association, Int’l (ALPA) voted to accept a comprehensive tentative agreement (TA) for a new pilot working agreement. The TA, which adds nearly $10 billion in value to the existing contract, will now be submitted to the membership for a ratification vote.
Details of the TA, including full contract language, a schedule of road shows, frequently asked questions, podcasts, and much more can be found on the UPA23 website. The membership ratification ballot will open on September 8 and close on September 29.
“Our 16,000 pilots will now decide if this tentative agreement meets their standards to become our updated contract,” said MEC chair Capt. Garth Thompson. “Today is the culmination of hard work and dedication from our pilots. Reaching this agreement was hard fought and a long time coming. ALPA is now committed to providing pilots with every resource they need to be informed.”
