    BREAKING:

A Lufthansa flight was left without a pilot at the controls for about 10 minutes after the first officer lost consciousness while alone in the cockpit, nearly overflying its top-of-descent point.

The incident, which just came to public attention following the release of a final report, happened aboard an Airbus A321 en route from Frankfurt, Germany, to Seville, Spain, with more than 200 people on board. Everything appeared normal until roughly 30 minutes before landing, when the captain stepped out to use the bathroom. He told investigators the first officer had shown no signs of distress at the time.

But when the captain returned eight minutes later, he found himself locked out of the cockpit. Investigators later learned that the 38-year-old first officer had unexpectedly passed out while alone on the flight deck. ATC was reportedly unable to reach the aircraft. The aircraft was approaching its top-of-decent point.

The full details only came to light Thursday when Spanish investigators released their final report on the incident.

    BREAKING

Louisiana lawmakers have advanced a bill through the House to ban “chemtrails,” a term rooted in conspiracy theories.

State Rep. Kimberly Landry Coates (R-Ponchatoula) supports the bill, expressing concerns about white streaks in the sky she believes are altering weather patterns. Despite scientific consensus that these streaks are harmless contrails formed by aircraft exhaust meeting cold atmospheric conditions, the bill passed the House with a 58–32 vote.

An amendment requires the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality to record any reported chemtrail sightings and forward the data to the Louisiana Air National Guard. Notably, the bill currently imposes no penalties for violations, as Coates stated the need for further understanding before enforcement measures are considered.
