First-Ever “Charleston to Charleston” Flight, and Only Nonstop to Orlando

Breeze Airways, the newest, nicest domestic low-fare airline, will introduce service to Charleston, West Virginia, on May 31.  Breeze will operate twice-weekly flights this summer to Charleston, SC (CHS), a first for the route, and year-round service to Orlando, FL (MCO), the only nonstop to the destination.  Introductory fares on the routes will start at $49* and $59* one way, respectively.

From Charleston, WV (CRW):

  • Charleston, SC (Summer seasonal service, Wed and Sat, starting May 31, from $49* for Nice and $99* for Nicer); and
  • Orlando, FL (Wed and Sat, starting May 31, from $59* for Nice and $99* for Nicer).

“I’ve said over and over that our airports in West Virginia are our lifeblood,” said West Virginia Governor Jim Justice.  “They fuel our economy, bring in tourism, and their ripple effects are off-the-charts.  CRW is absolutely knocking it out of the park, and it’s a testament to West Virginia’s resurgence as a top destination for tourism, and as the best place to live, work, and raise a family. I’m so proud to welcome Breeze Airways to Almost Heaven, because I know that they will find success here, but above all, they will find a new home among our hills.”

Breeze plans to offer five destinations from Charleston, WV within the first two years of service.

“As we look to fill the gaps left by larger carriers in midsized markets, Charleston/Yeager is ‘Almost Heaven’ — and a great fit for Breeze’s business model,” said David Neeleman, Breeze Airways’ Founder and CEO. “With our new ‘Charleston to Charleston’ service, we’ll connect the West Virginia and South Carolina cities for the very first time, and our new nonstop to Orlando is adding another unserved destination from CRW.   I know our South Carolina and Florida Guests will love the scenic mountain beauty and recreational opportunities of the Appalachian, Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern regions.  And West Virginia Guests will enjoy getting to know Breeze’s affordability, flexibility, and family friendly policies, like free family seating.”

Guests on Breeze may choose from three price bundles that are offered as ‘Nice’, ‘Nicer’, and, on the Airbus A220 fleet, ‘Nicest’. Guests also have an ala carte option where they can choose a ‘Nice’ or ‘Nicer’ bundle and add a First Class seat as well. Breeze has ordered 80 brand new Airbus A220-300 aircraft, with options for 40 more.

Seat pitch for a Standard Economy seat is 30 inches on the A220s and 31 inches on the E-195s, while seat pitch for Extra Legroom is 32 inches on the A220s and between 34 and 39 inches on the E-195s, depending on the row selected. First Class seats feature 39 inches of seat pitch, 20.5 inches of seat width, and special features including a footrest for added comfort, and in-seat AC power and USB/C ports.

Breeze doesn’t charge change or cancellation fees up to 15 minutes prior to departure and offers other benefits such as free family seating and a la carte pricing. With seamless booking, no change or cancellation fees, up to 24-months of reusable flight credit and customized flight features delivered via a sleek and simple app, Breeze makes it easy to buy and easy to fly.
