On Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at 2:00 PM ET, following a House Aviation Subcommittee hearing discussing pilot supply, the Air Line Pilots Association, Int’l (ALPA), will join the families of Flight 3407, and Representatives Brian Higgins (NY-26) and Nick Langworthy (NY-23) to discuss threats to aviation safety that could be included in this year’s Federal Aviation Administration reauthorization.
Speakers will reinforce the importance of preserving the safety standards that were enacted after a string of fatal aircraft crashes culminating in the crash of Flight 3407 near fatalities has decreased 99.8 percent.
