Happy new year and may this be the year we finally kick Covid, once and for all. This first month of the new year brings some really good content. Our FEATURE article is about an inspired young man who found a successful way to fund his flight education and uncovered a new career goal. Read about Chart It All, the story of Trevor Simoneau by contributing author Justin Abrams. Justin has been busy this month as he also provides his regular CAREERS column, this month dedicated to the importance of setting career goals. Kristopher Olson’s PERSPECTIVES offers some of the not-so-pleasant realities of being an airline pilot and he invites you to offer your perspective, too. In BAGGAGE, Reini Thijssen gives us some practical tips for overcoming procrastination. Don’t put off reading this one! 😉 FITNESS is not to be overlooked, especially this time of year. Eric Ray’s column offers the first in a series that will help you set and achieve your fitness goals through the SMART approach. Sergio Sovero brings us a sobering piece in KNOWLEDGE BASE about flight safety wherein he addresses the topic of density altitude. After you’ve consumed all the AVIATION BULLETINS that keep you informed, take a virtual trip to Alaska in FLYING with Lia Ocampo in search of the Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights. Always remember, if there is something you would like to write about, comments you would like to make or suggestions for future articles, please write us at info@aerocrewnews.com. Please stay tuned in 2022!
