Vision

Our vision is to be the safest, most reliable, most successful regional airline in the world for our customers, employees and shareholders.

About Envoy

Envoy Air Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines Group (NASDAQ: AAL) operating more than 160 aircraft on 800 daily flights to over 160 destinations. The company’s more than 19,000 employees provide regional flight service to American Airlines under the American Eagle brand and livery and ground handling services for many American flights.

The company was founded in 1998 as American Eagle Airlines, Inc. following the merger of several smaller regional carriers to create one of the largest regional airlines in the world. Envoy is headquartered in Irving, Texas with large operations in American’s hubs, including Dallas/Fort Worth, Chicago and Miami.

On April 15, 2014 the company changed its name to Envoy Air Inc. to distinguish the company from the American Eagle brand, under which several carriers operate regional flight service for American. American Airlines Group is the holding company for American Airlines, US Airways, and Envoy.

Fleet

Envoy continues to add two-class Embraer 175 (E175) and Embraer 170 (E170) aircraft to our fleet. The spacious 76-seat E175 and 65 seat E170 aircraft offer a seamless travel experience to customers connecting to and from mainline flights.

Covering topics from training to scheduling, commuting to crashpads, interviewing and jumpseating, unions and medical certification, this book contains the tips, tripwires, tribal knowledge, and the information you need to create a clear, controlable path. It is a crucial resource for navigating your future as you prepare to don the uniform of an airline pilot.

Though principally aimed at transitioning service members and commercial pilots, the information contained in this book is valuable to anyone planning for a career in the airlines or preparing others for the airline profession. Dispatchers, planners, crew schedulers, managers, members of airline union staff, as well as instructors and students in professional flight and aviation management and technology programs will benefit from the vast information and insights included in the book.
