St. George, Utah – Epic Flight Academy officially opened its FAA Part 141 flight school at St. George Regional Airport (SGU) on Saturday, June 28th. Members of the St. George Area Chamber of Commerce joined Epic staff and people from the St. George community for the grand opening. Attendees enjoyed learning about flight training, flying simulator sessions, and taking discovery flights.

Brock Rees, Director of Satellite Operations, reported excellent attendance for the event. “Everyone in the community has been so supportive, and it was great to see so many people come out. We were especially happy to see so many families come out. The kids loved seeing the planes.”

Founder and CEO Danny Perna added, “By all accounts the St. George community has been incredibly supportive and engaged with the process of setting up the new school. We have already started flight training there and were thrilled to see so many new faces at the grand opening.”

Epic Flight Academy has been training pilots since 1999. It is the largest FAA Part 141 flight school in the U.S. with multiple locations. Epic also trains aircraft mechanics at other sites under FAA Part 147.
