Las Vegas, NV – Pilots at Allegiant Air have secured more than 400 signed authorization cards in support of decertifying the Teamsters as their collective bargaining representative.

Following the proposed merger between Allegiant Air and Sun Country Airlines, the combined pilot group will include an additional 680 Sun Country pilots, who are currently represented by the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA). When combined with the Allegiant pilots who have
signed decertification cards, more than 50 percent of the merged pilot group will have expressed a desire for representation other than the Teamsters.

“This level of support demonstrates a clear majority of pilots across the combined operation who are seeking representation other than Teamsters,” said Steven Allen, Captain and former Executive Council Chairman for Allegiant. “Pilots are focused on ensuring that their collective
bargaining representative reflects their priorities, professional standards, and long-term interests.”

The signed authorization cards reflect pilots’ intent to pursue a representation vote in accordance with applicable labor laws and National Mediation Board procedures. Organizers emphasized that the effort is pilot-driven and rooted in a desire for effective, responsive, and transparent representation.

Further updates regarding the process and next steps will be provided as they become available.
