With less than a month to go, preparations for the Global Aviation Conference Frankfurt are in their final stages. Taking place on 29-30 September 2026 at the Frankfurt Marriott Hotel, GAFC will bring together airlines, airports, MROs, OEMs, lessors, technology companies, and aviation-service providers for two days of industry discussion, networking and knowledge exchange.
The conference program reflects aviation's increasingly interconnected nature. Across 11 panel discussions, industry leaders will explore subjects ranging from sustainability and artificial intelligence to aircraft maintenance, airport development, fleet financing, customer experience and geopolitical developments.
A Global Line-Up of Aviation Leaders GAFC will host senior representatives from leading airlines and aviation organizations worldwide. The speaker lineup includes executives from ITA Airways, Lufthansa Group, Qatar Airways, United Airlines, Turkish Airlines, Saudia, Finnair, Alaska Airlines, LATAM, Ethiopian Airlines, Air Europa, Ryanair, Fraport, Munich Airport, London City Airport, El Dorado International Airport, Athens International Airport, and many other industry participants.
The conference will open with a keynote by Joerg Michael Eberhart, CEO of ITA Airways, offering a senior airline perspective on transformation and the industry's future direction. Thanos Pascalis, CEO of Cyprus Airways, will discuss the challenges of managing a smaller airline in today’s complex environment.

Putting People at the Center of Aviation
Panel 7: Crew Welfare and Workforce Management will be especially relevant for aviation professionals in cockpit, cabin and operational roles. As workforce pressures persist, attracting, developing and retaining skilled aviation professionals are increasingly critical. The panel will examine human factors that support long-term workforce resilience beyond recruitment metrics. The panel will cover crew welfare, workforce management and retention, training and development, leadership, organizational culture, and the role of technology in crew operations. It will also address how continuous learning and upskilling prepare personnel for a rapidly evolving industry.
Beyond the Conference Stage
GAFC is structured to facilitate both presentations and direct industry connections. The event will feature an exhibition and networking area for participants to meet potential partners, suppliers and customers, as well as a matchmaking platform and opportunities for structured business meetings. Given the aviation community’s reliance on collaboration across people, organizations and the value chain, face-to-face connections remain a vital aspect of the event.
With the conference less than a month away, Frankfurt is preparing to welcome worldwide aviation professionals for two days focused on current industry challenges and the people, technologies and strategies shaping its future.
