CHARLOTTE, N.C.—Today, the pilots of PSA Airlines, represented by the Air Line Pilots Association, Int’l (ALPA), announced that their elected union leaders approved an agreement with PSA Airlines Inc. that extends their current contract through April 1, 2030, and establishes binding pay rate improvements along with other contractual changes.

“When we asked our pilots what mattered most, the answer was clear: Protect our pay. This agreement does that,” said Capt. Chris Sabia, Master Executive Council Chair of the PSA unit of ALPA. “It gives our pilots and their families real certainty about the next several years so they can plan their lives and careers here.”

Under the agreement, current pay rates remain in place until new ones take effect June 1, 2027, with additional increases set for June 1, 2028, and June 1, 2029. The agreement also includes changes to scheduling, work rules, and other contract provisions. The PSA pilots’ elected leaders weighed each change against the value of locking in pay rates through the end of the decade.

“This contract extension was possible because our pilots spoke up and our union leaders, negotiators, and the company listened,” Sabia said. “PSA pilots contribute not only to the success of their own airline but also to the success of American Airlines. This extension delivers pay improvements and recognizes those contributions. Pilots at every wholly owned carrier deserve the same: pay that is secured in the contract. No matter the carrier, we stand in solidarity, and PSA pilots join in support of each pilot group as they work toward their goals.”

PSA Airlines is a wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines Group and operates regional flights as American Eagle.

Founded in 1931, ALPA is the largest airline pilot union in the world and represents more than 80,000 pilots at 42 U.S. and Canadian airlines, including approximately 2,260 PSA pilots. Visit ALPA.org or follow us on X @ALPAPilots.
